Mee Jung

Artistic Director

As the Founder and Artistic director of "i KADA Contemporary Dance Company", she has choreographed and danced in many performances with the company at numerous prestigious dance venues since it's founding in 2011 in NYC. Ms. Jung has choreographed several pieces and she has also collaborated with well known artists for the company events.

In the winter of 2012 Ms. Jung had a vision of bringing dance companies to work together and created the KoDaFe international festival in May 2013 in NYC. The festival has been successfully presented and she has been interviewed by Asian Culture complex, one of the biggest culture event in Asia. Since the beginning, KoDaFe in NYC has grown and taken on sponsors such as Fractured Atlas ( and Korean Cultural Service ( The festival was aired on television on MNN (Manhattan Neighborhood Network Culture channel) from September 10th - October 2014.

A native of South Korea, Mee Jung received her Bachelor of Arts in Dance at Su-Won University. She later moved to Seattle and then New York City where she continued to perform with various modern dance companies. While pursuing her career as a dancer, Ms. Jung has instructed actors and dancers in modern, ballet and jazz at the Institute of Dance and the Institute of Music and Theater.




Ae-Soon Kim

Associate Director


Ae-Soon Kim was born in Okayama City, Japan. She began training in Traditional Korean Dance at the Okayama Korean School, and then progressed into Classical Ballet at the Sonoko Sugimoto Ballet Studio. In 1998, she moved to England to train at Elmhurst Ballet School and the Laine Theatre Art School, and then toured for a year and half with the King and I UK National Tour. In 2003, Ae-Soon moved to the U.S., and she received her B.F.A. in Dance through a full scholarship at the Boston Conservatory. Ae-Soon worked as a dancer with Carolyn Dorfman Dance 2009 to 2017 and premiered her first work “Unfolding” as a choreographer for Carolyn Dorfman Dance at NJPAC Victoria Theater in 2017.
